Finding A Place To Call Home:
A Message From The Pastor
In today’s fast paced society, it seems that there are fewer and fewer places where we can feel totally at ease and at home. There are few places where we really have a sense of community. When I came to Community Presbyterian Church as Interim Pastor I felt immediately at home; I felt like I was part of this church community. It seems that Community Presbyterian really does live up to its name.
What is a community? For me it is a place where each person is welcomed and valued. It is a place where “everyone knows your name”, and cares about you personally. People care about each others’ wellbeing, and are available to lend a helping hand when it is needed.
We are a special type of community, a Presbyterian Church Community. This means that we share a common faith in Jesus Christ and seek together to follow Christ. However, we are careful to recognize that each person’s individual beliefs may differ, and we seek to respect each other’s beliefs. It is important to us to learn how to better follow Christ and to reach out in love to the community.
We invite you to be a part of our loving, embracing community.
In Christian Love,
Ann
